Lecture - Leadership Performance and How It Crumbles Under Pressure
Prehospital/EM consultant and cruise ship doctor, Clare Bosanko (@ClareBosanko), has a wealth of experience when it comes to both pre and in-hospital care. Clare is a previous member of the WM CARE Team and also has a long history of providing quality pre-hospital CPD as a co-founder and co-host of the PHEMCAST podcast alongside Tim Nutbeam. This talk will discuss key aspects such as building relationships in flash teams, maintaining momentum, civility, etc. In summarising the context of this talk, she said:
"I’ve spoken before at various events on the concepts of performance under pressure, but still wasn’t sure I was ‘walking the walk'.
"This new talk considers how pressure influences our leadership style, and how I am working on setting the right tone at prehospital incidents."

Workshops - An Introduction
We've taken feedback from previous workshops events and reduced the number of workshop stations in order to give more time for each station and hopefully more of the same equipment at each station, meaning more hands on time.
This month's workshops are themed on giving you an introduction to something different. We have a room focusing on an introduction to pre-hospital ultrasound which will feature some practical vascular access, lung sliding, etc. The other workshop will give attendees an opportunity to get hands on with some suturing/wound closure equipment.

Target Audience
Any person from any background that delivers pre-hospital emergency care at any level, from first aiders though to advanced practitioners would benefit from the lecture content.

Refunds - Workshops
For Sessions events that feature workshops, there are no refunds within 72 hours of the start time. This is based on no-show rates as high as 35% when we have had a waiting list of people that could not attend. It takes significantly more effort and volunteer hours to organise and run a workshops Session.
