OHCA - Basics Saves Lives
Cardiac arrests are algorithmic when you have resource, space and no other dynamic environmental changes to deal with. This session is not only a review of the ALS algorithm but also includes “what works well”, are we doing the best for our patients?
Workshops
The workshops will be themed around cardiac arrest. The aim is to ensure we refresh the basics but also an opportunity to get familiar with some of the equipment carried by enhanced care teams. The workshops will be facilitated by CARE Team staff.
CPR - Manual CPR with live feedback
CPR - LUCAS application
Intraosseous - IO access stations
Intubation - Focussing on the assist role, there will be equipment for direct and video laryngoscope
Ventilator - Hands on with the paraPAC plus 310
Target Audience
Any person from any background that delivers pre-hospital emergency care at any level, from first aiders though to advanced practitioners would benefit from the lecture content.
CPD Certificate

Refunds - Workshops
For Sessions events that feature workshops, there are no refunds within 72 hours of the start time. This is based on no-show rates as high as 35% when we have had a waiting list of people that could not attend. It takes significantly more effort and volunteer hours to organise and run a workshops Session.
