The anatomy of a time critical incident
Dr's Jenny Scallan, Rachel Edwards and Thomas Burton will deliver a case based learning discussion focused on:

• Teamwork in time critical trauma emergencies
• Penetrating and blunt trauma scenarios
• PHEA and thoracotomy discussions

There will be 2 trauma scenarios discussed;
One blunt trauma, TBI, needing PHEA with a talk through things such as neuroprotective measures etc.
The next will be a penetrating trauma - stab wound to the chest and a talk through things like bleeding mimics, STAB-5, tension pneumothorax etc

Target Audience
Any person from any background that delivers pre-hospital emergency care at any level, from first aiders though to advanced practitioners would benefit from the lecture content.

CPD Certificate
Lecture only events - Purchase a CPD certificate add-on for a £5 donation to WM CARE Team and you'll be sent a unique code that will be activated when your ticket is checked into the event. It is also possible to donate on the night and receive a CPD code from WMCT staff.
